Rachel Decker-MaleAPRN
Rachel Decker-Male, APRN is a nurse practitioner at the University of Utah Orthopaedic Center with the Hand Team. Since becoming a nurse practitioner in 2005, she has spent the majority of her career in orthopaedic surgery and now specializes in the treatment of orthopaedic hand, wrist and elbow conditions. Rachel sees patients with a wide range of upper extremity problems, both acute and chronic in nature. She is able to see patients with acute problems on short notice, helping to identify which injuries may need surgery urgently.
Rachel works primarily with Dr. Nikolas Kazmers at both the University Orthopaedic Center and Farmington Health Center. She performs all aspects of non-surgical upper extremity care including diagnostics, injections, casting and splinting. Patients who may benefit from surgery are referred to Dr. Kazmers, and together they explore the best solutions for their patients. Rachel also assists Dr. Kazmers with surgical procedures.
